Dec 12: Free workshop on Virtual Building and Collaborative Design & Construction

Next week at GSA Headquarters in Washington, DC, there will be a free one-day workshop which will bring together practitioners from around the country who are willing to share their experiences with VB and Collaborative Teaming from the owners’ and contractors’ perspectives.
Subject matter includes:
*4D/constructability;
* Model cost integration, use of model for estimating;
* Owners use of models and standards; and
* Model based teams; teams that share models.

Presenters will be professional builders, contract administrators, mechanical contractors, general contractors, schedulers, modelers and owners who are designing, fabricating, coordinating, and constructing with Virtual Building (VB) and collaborative teaming to avoid risk, save time, reduce costs, and figure out how to leverage their investment in the VB model post-construction for facility operations, IT, security, EH&S and finance.

The goal of this workshop is to share knowledge in order drive adoption of VB/collaboration throughout the industry, thus allowing professionals to move on to the next step of interoperable data exchange and all of the business process improvements to follow.
