Smoke-free in Iowa

The state of Iowa is preparing to unveil its first-ever smoke free full-service hotel with the Coralville Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, opening August 15, 2006. The 286-room property with 60,000 square feet of meeting space is owned by the City of Coralville and operated by Marriott International.

To demonstrate the commitment to promoting a smoke free environment, along with a strong desire to have a positive impact on the local community and economy, the Coralville Marriott will donate a percentage of guest room receipts in 2006 to the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center for tobacco-related research.

“We are proud to foster a healthy environment for our guests and employees and this well-being extends to every area of our hotel,” stated Director of Sales and Marketing Justin Hannah.
