Q Where can I find a job description for a facility manager?

Roger Manecke

Elmwood Local Schools

A There are several methods you could use to create a job description:

Start with the Occupational Outlook Handbook from the Department of Labor and review the duties and responsibilities sketched out there.

Use a search engine to find online examples of pertinent positions. One example of results can be found here.

Search job postings for similar positions and review the duties and responsibilities posted on the job board. Professional associations, such as APPA may also have resources.
