Ladder Safety Leash by Super Anchor Safety

The Ladder Leash™ (part # 1095) by Super Anchor Safety is a heavy duty tie off strap for ladder safety. The device helps secure ladders from movement for better stability. Users wrap the leash around each leg of the ladder, nail or screw the nail-plate, and then cinch it up tight.ladder safetyladder safetyladder safety

The Ladder Leash has a working load of 50 pounds and a maximum user weight of 340 pounds. Capacity is one person per ladder with tools and equipment. The product minimizes side-to-side slippage, helps prevent marring of gutters and roof edges, and is easy to use and remove (provides quick release).

Sold in pairs, the Ladder Leash has a 0.0625 gauge zinc plated steel nail plate; 1″ wide solid zinc cam buckles with a tensile strength of 1,200 pounds; and 1″ polyester webbing with a minimum tensile strength of 5,000 pounds. Leash webbing is 30″ long.

The Ladder Leash works with most roofing material but should not be nailed or screwed into clay or masonry tile. A comprehensive instruction manual is included.

Prior to installation, ladder feet should be on stable ground and leveled, ladder should be stabilized against a leading edge, and ladder angle should be four to one (ladder feet are slopped away from the leading edge 1′ for every 4′ of vertical rise).
In addition, the user must have training in ladder safety. Ladders must comply with current OSHA safety standards and be free of any defects or damage. The Ladder Leash should not be used on homebuilt or jobsite built ladders, or to secure scaffolding or hoisting equipment.
