Facility management professionals take part in events this week that highlight the profession as well as the impact of FM on building occupants and organizations throughout the world.
In addition to June 10th, the entire week will be used to recognize World FM Day, providing more opportunities to celebrate the profession formally.
The theme for the facility management event this year, which will be observed on June 10, 2015, is “Building Resilience for the Future.”
Held on June 4, 2014, World FM Day aims to raise the profile of the FM profession, not just in local markets, but anywhere facility managers influence the health, safety, productivity, and well-being of people who use the built environment; and that means everywhere.
Global FM member organizations on six different continents will commemorate World FM Day by hosting events all around the world and undertaking others activities to celebrate and promote facilities management.
Today is the fourth annual World FM Day! The core message of 2012’s World FM Day is “celebrating success.”

Teena Shouse, Global FM chair stated, “Between now and World FM Day 2012, let’s work together to create additional opportunities to raise the awareness of the value we bring to our organizations, network to improve our operations, and continue to grow as FM professionals.”
