Capital Chapter of IFMA Hosts Sustainability Summit

The Capital Chapter of IFMA today hosts a sustainability summit at the American Academy for the Advancement of Science in Washington, D.C., from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The Capital Chapter’s one-day summit will target next-layer operational strategies and will help built environment professionals learn ways to operate their facilities more efficiently and sustainably.

Attendees will hear best practices, lessons learned and future trends from representatives of the Office of the Architect of the Capitol, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, FM:Systems, the National Education Association and more. Featured speakers will include Charles H. Iliff, P.E., and Alyssa Quarforth, two industry leaders and frequent IFMA contributors.

This summit will be an opportunity for facility managers to network with other FM practitioners and build a step-by-step roadmap for their 2010 sustainable activities.
