Change Management event today and tomorrow in NYC

Senior executives will examine the growing role of change management in major corporations at The Conference Board’s 2005 Change Management Conference. This meeting, sponsored by Mercer Delta Organizational Consulting, will be held Nov. 15-16 at the Marriott Financial Center.

This conference will explore leading edge ideas and approaches to change leadership through a series of company case examples (live and on video), panel discussions, and practical tools. Adrian Slywotzky, managing director, Mercer Management Consulting Inc., and co-author, The Profit Zone and How to Grow When Markets Don’t, and author, The Art of Profitability and Value Migration, will deliver the keynote address on “Value Growth on a Global Chessboard.”

Sessions include:
•What is Change Leadership? William Weldon, chairman and chief executive officer, Johnson & Johnson, and Kaye Foster-Cheek, Executive Vice President, Human Resources, will explore how change relates to strategy.
•Engaging the Board in Change. David A Nadler, chairman, Mercer Delta Consulting and Sandra Wijnber, member, board of directors, Tyco International (USA) Inc. will examine board of directors in leading change.
•Aligning Change with Global Strategies. The speaker for this session will be Professor Paul Kirkbride, CLO of ITT Industries, and author of two recent books on globalization: Globalization: The External Pressures and Globalization: The Internal Dynamic. He will address the complexities of organizational change.
•Leading a Turnaround: The CEO Perspective on Change. Presenters include: Robert A. Eckert, chairman and chief executive officer, Mattel and Alan Kaye, senior vice president, human resources, Mattel. They will present the critical perspective of the CEO on the leadership of enterprise-wide changes that are required in a turnaround situation.
•The Application of Measurement and Metrics to Generate Growth in the Face of Rapid Change. Participants include: Paul Yakulis, vice president, human resources, Siemens Medical Solutions Health Services Corporation, and Thomas Stone, financial officer, Siemens Medical Solutions Health Services Corporation.
•Using Communications to Create Understanding, Build Support and Mobilize Action. The speaker for this session is Simon Freakley, chief executive officer, Kroll, Inc. He will discuss what it takes to grow a business in today’s fast-paced high-risk environment.
•Assessing Organizational Change Capacity: Indicators of Success/Signs of Needed Corrections. Linda Stewart, executive vice president, Fidelity Global Business, Veritude, will explore signs of distress and responses in the workforce.
•Tools to Build Adaptability and Resilience. Presenters include: Lynn H. Clark, vice president, human resources, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Terri Bennett Schoenrock, global managing principal, HP consulting and integration, Hewlett-Packard Company, and Stephen Kelly, chief HR officer, BT Global Services, BT plc.
