Columbia Lighting Architectural Luminaire

The TCAT blends flat and contoured geometrics to produce a sleek, subtle aesthetic

The LED Twin Contemporary Architectural Luminaire (TCAT) from Columbia Lighting is designed to blend flat and curved geometrics, producing a sleek, subtle contour that complements architectural aesthetics in offices, schools, hospitals, and public spaces. This mix also spreads the light over the surface of the luminaire to provide an even illumination with a low contrast ratio.architectural luminaire

The DesignLights Consortium® (DLC) qualified (in some configurations) TCAT can be recessed, surface, or cable mount (suspended) and provides 60,000 hour LEDs at L80 (up to 86,000 projected life). Twin lens configuration (2×2 and 2×4) or single lens companion (1×4) high efficiency acrylic lenses feature custom formulation for high performance without pixilation. A matte white paint finish is standard on the reflector.

The TCAT is offered in a 1′ x 4′ version with 21 watts to 58 watts and nominal lumens from 2,450 to 7,650; a 2′ x 2′ model that delivers 1,400 to 4,600 nominal lumens with 12 watts to 37 watts; and a 2′ x 4′ fixture with 2,475 to 8,925 nominal lumens and 19 watts to 69 watts. They come in 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, or 5000K CCTs. Luminaire housing, reflectors, and end caps are die formed code gauge cold rolled steel. An access plate is furnished with each luminaire for fast wiring access without the necessity to open the fixture or wireway. Electrical components are fully accessible from below the ceiling for ease of maintenance and future upgradeability.

The Twin Contemporary Architectural Luminaire is available with an optional integral occupancy and daylight sensor, SpectraSync™, and NX Distributed Intelligence™.

SpectraSync enables dynamic control over the lighting of indoor spaces with three Color Tuning Technologies. Dim to Warm mimics the warming effect that occurs with traditional incandescent sources as they are dimmed (available with 2200K to 3000K); Tunable White offers the ability to tailor CCT to personal preference (available with 2700K to 5000K or 2700K to 6500K); and Scheduled White creates an environment that mimics the rhythm of natural light or follows an alternative user-defined schedule by enabling CCT and intensity control throughout the day with a straightforward 0V to 10V interface (available with 2700K to 5000K or 2700K to 6500K).

The TCAT’s Hubbell Control Solutions’ NX Distributed Intelligence platform delivers a seamless lighting control solution capable of scaling from standalone fixture and room control applications to networked enterprise deployments. It operates using wired, wireless, and hybrid connectivity with native BACnet™ support and utilizes a Distributed Network Architecture (DNA), which enables programming to be stored at the device level. This eliminates operational dependencies on software, gateways, and servers.
