Five “Fellows” from IFMA

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) has selected five members for its 2005 Class of IFMA Fellows. This year Jeffery L. Campbell, Ph.D., IFMA Fellow; Christopher P. Hodges, CFM, PE, RRC, LEED AP, IFMA Fellow; Guy Thatcher, CMC, IFMA Fellow; Meredith Thatcher, CFM, CFMJ, IFMA Fellow; and Frederick P. Weiss, CFM, IFMA Fellow; bring the number of IFMA Fellows to 65.

The IFMA Fellowship program was established to create an elite core of respected industry leaders in facility management. Being named an IFMA Fellow is the highest honor that the Association can bestow on a member. This is the first time in IFMA’s 25-year history that a father and daughter have been awarded IFMA Fellowship.

Guy Thatcher serves as a principal with the Carroll Thatcher Planning Group, a facility planning and interior design firm based in Ottawa, Ontario. His primary responsibilities include strategic planning, automation support, training course development and project delivery. Since becoming a member of IFMA in 1993, he has developed and delivered multiple seminars and courses.

Meredith Thatcher, an IFMA member since 1993, is president of the Carroll Thatcher Planning Group. He has guided more than 200 graduates to the facility management profession during his eight years with the university.

As co-founder, president and CEO of Facility Engineering Associates P.C. in Fairfax, Va., Christopher P. Hodges developed his consulting engineering practice from just three individuals to more than 50 engineers, scientists and facility management professionals in a 12-year period. Since Jan. 2005, Hodges has changed roles within the organization, now serving as principal and chairman of the firm.
