The world of Greenbuild | Facility Executive - Creating Intelligent Buildings

After arriving at Greenbuild this morning, I attended a portion of an educational session dedicated to a subject near and dear to the hearts of many facility managers–green product selection. The panelists all agreed that the numerous lists, regulations, tools, etc. are overwhelming, and even made the suggestion to use LEED as a measurement stick rather than a design tool. The mixed messages and the greenwashing associated with product development are greater than ever, and one speaker hinted at the fact that it may take something as significant as an ANSI standard in order to unify the message.
