Rentacrate Introduces Electronics Recycling Program

As more states are making it illegal to dump computers and electronics equipment into landfills, it is becoming harder for businesses to dispose of old computers and electronics. After a successful pilot program, during which more than 80,000 pounds of electronic equipment was recycled over a three-month period, Rentacrate Inc. is proud to introduce its Electronics Recycling Program.

The EPA estimates that nearly 250 million computers will be discarded in the next five years. Every year, 130 million cellular phones are thrown away.

The service delivers collection bins, which are then filled with obsolete electronic equipment. After collecting these bins, Rentacrate strips the equipment for all reclaimable material. The company recycles 100% of all materials. Hard drives and other memory devices are never sold or recirculated, protecting data security. All materials are handled in accordance with legal and environmentally correct standards. Rentacrate provides clients with an electronic recycling certificate, which serves as legal proof of safe disposal.
