Over the years, workplace dress codes have relaxed significantly. For men, suits and ties are gone for the most part, and it’s relatively commonplace for women to wear trousers rather than dresses and skirts. Casual Fridays are commonplace, and (tidy) jeans are even acceptable in some environments.
But with the introduction of The Suitsy, the workplace dress code enters a new age.
From the Betabrand site:
“Welcome to a revolution in apparel for the modern gentleman; imagine looking professional but feeling like you’re in pajamas!
“The Suitsy is a jacket connected to a shirt connected to pants—like the lovechild of a business suit and a onesie! False shirt-cuff material extends from the end of the jacket sleeves to give the impression of a complete dress shirt worn underneath. A zipper is hidden behind the shirt-button placket (with false buttons).”
The Suitsy is essentially an adult male version of the onesie. It combines soft, stretchy, wrinkle-resistant sweatpants fabric (67% cotton and 33% polyester) for the pants and jacket with lightweight polyester for the breathable, quick dry shirt. Just like regular trousers, the “pants” have two pockets in the front and two in the back; the “jacket” comes with an inside chest pocket and even has adjustable cuffs.
In fact, alterations are not a problem, as the site explains, “The false sleeve cuffs can be extended by about an inch, and the pants can be quickly and easily hemmed. If the pants are a bit too short on you, we’ve left 3/4″ of cuff that can be let out.”
Belt loops? The Suitsy has them. Add a snappy pair of shoes and a tie, and you’ll be the picture of success.
No detail has been left out…not even the most essential one. Check out the video below.
