New Product Flash: Enhanced WPX Series By G&G LED

G&G LED, an Albany, NY-based manufacturer of wet location LED lighting, has enhanced its WPX Series of luminaires by adding push-and-click IP68 connectors and cabling that enable quick and easy installations in commercial or industrial environments. Designed specifically for use in harsh and wet applications, the WPX Series eliminates the need for hardwiring, which facilitates the placement of fixtures in extreme indoor and outdoor applications.FE-NPFlogo

“Most LED lighting requires dedicated hardwiring to each fixture,” says Jason Baright, president of G&G LED. “We eliminated the time and aggravation associated with those installations by integrating submersible connectors and cabling that simply plug together. The result is an LED lighting system that is very easy to install and works equally well in demanding locations ranging from cold storage to car wash tunnels.”

Introduced in January 2015, the WPX Series was developed to provide an LED lighting alternative for extreme conditions. This includes auto detail areas, cold storage facilities, garages, food processing centers, industrial plants, car washes, and marinas.

With a patent-pending extruded housing design, the G&G LED WPX Series linear luminaire also offers a different form factor than any other wet location or vapor tight product in the market. In addition to being UL Wet Listed and DLC Qualified and offering high efficacy >110 LPW, WPX Series features include:

  • Seamless shell for IP68 ingress protection and UV/chemical resistance
  • Embedded aluminum heat sink for operation in cold and hot environments (patent-pending)
  • NSF Certified for use in food processing and storage environments
  • Full line of colors and beam-forming options (optics)
  • High lumen density in a slim, low profile fixture

In upcoming months, G&G LED expects to introduce other upgrades to the WPX Series such as enhanced dimming support for use with occupancy and daylight sensors; a C1D2 rating for operation in hazardous locations; and a jumperless (end-to-end) fixture coupling option.
