Power supply for low-power electrified access control devices

EcoPower by Securitron, an ASSA ABLOY Group Brand, is a power supply designed to work with low-power electrified access control devices. It reduces power supply standby power consumption to 8.5mW (0.0085W) with a 115V input. The product is also GreenCircle Certified to lower total door power consumption by up to 99%, reducing it from 20 watts or more to 0.3 watts when used with a low power lock.

power supplySimilar to how a plug-in hybrid car operates, EcoPower uses its battery to power the door’s low powered electrified lock; it only draws energy from the wall to charge the battery as needed, less than once per day.

EcoPower can be recessed into drywall, surface mounted above the door, mounted above a drop ceiling, or mounted on an existing UL listed double gang junction box. The included EcoPower battery provides up to 26 hours of backup and a built-in battery end-of-life notification system.

EcoPower includes two outputs (one for the lock and one for the credential), a battery charger, an access control input, and a fire alarm input with optional fire alarm latching for Canadian installation. It supports fail-safe and fail-secure lock configurations and features universal voltage input capabilities (100V to 240VAC), low current wire runs, and a reduced wire run length.

Packaged in a 4″ x 4″ x 35/8” enclosure, EcoPower has an operating temperature of -4°F to 122°F and comes with a MagnaCare® Lifetime Replacement No Fault Warranty.
