SCL and CRL Emergency Lighting by Exitronix

The SCL Series and CRL Series are emergency lighting products from Barron Lighting Group’s Exitronix. Constructed of high quality die-formed 20 gauge steel with a white finish, these compact designs meet or exceed NEC requirements and NFPA 101, delivering best-in-class optical performance with cost-saving maintenance features.

emergency lightingemergency lightingThe SCL Series is designed for wall-mount or stem mount emergency lighting applications. It measures approximately 9.17″ L x 5.33″ H with a dual voltage input of 120VAC or 277VAC at 50/60Hz.

The CRL Series is designed for recessed T-bar ceiling applications with a dual voltage input of 120VAC or 277VAC at 60Hz. It combines performance and dependability with a clean, architectural appearance.

Both the SCL Series and CRL Series feature a tool-less hinged door for safe access to the 6V NiMH battery without exposure to line voltage. Exitronix 6V nickel metal hydride batteries are maintenance-free with a life expectancy of 15 years. They perform optimally in temperatures ranging from 32°F to 104°F.

Brownout circuitry monitors the SCL Series and CRL Series line voltage. As the line voltage sags and can no longer provide adequate voltage, the emergency lighting circuit will turn on to supply power to the emergency lamps. The units will operate for 90 minutes during loss of power with a 24-hour maximum recharge time for the battery.

The SCL Series and CRL Series utilize two fully adjustable 3.6 watt LED lamp heads. The lamps feature 12° narrow beam standard optics and maximum on-center spacing up to 60′. Renegade REN1 PAR18 lamp heads are standard for all configurations except the G2-NI option. In addition, an exclusive 58° wide beam lens delivers best min-to-max ratio for lower mounting height or shorter corridor applications.

Options for the SCL Series and CRL Series include the Guardian Self-Test/Self-Diagnostics with LED Indicator (G2). The Guardian circuit continuously monitors the operating condition of the AC power, battery supply voltage, emergency lamp continuity, and charging circuit. This option provides visual signaling in response to a fault at the EXIT sign battery and/or battery charger. If a failure is detected, visual status will occur immediately via LED indicators. It can also occur via the optional numeric indicator display (G2-NI) for error-proof fault/status detection. The code will display until the fault is corrected.

The Guardian circuit also monitors the transfer circuit and performs automatic code compliant testing. The Guardian circuit will perform a 90 minute self-test every 180 days. A five minute manual test can be initiated by the user.

The U.S. assembled SCL Series and CRL Series come with a standard five year fixture/five year pro-rated battery warranty for long-lasting emergency lighting.
