Wattstopper, Lumenetix Partner On Advanced LED Lighting

The partnership will enable new lighting applications while reducing the complexity of design, installation, and operation of advanced LED lighting systems.

Wattstopper, a product line of Legrand, has signed an exclusive license agreement with Lumenetix, a leader in tunable color technology, to combine capabilities to support advanced digital lighting applications. The agreement focuses on Lumenetix blancoâ„¢ tunable white technology, a subset of Lumenetix’s araya platform, which enables lighting fixture manufacturers and specifiers to address new market demands for high precision dimming and human centric lighting (HCL) systems.

The lighting industry is entering the next phase of LED innovation, moving beyond just energy efficiency and ease of control to new light functionality. Color control, circadian rhythm, and task tuning are emerging as specification requirements with growing opportunities in healthcare, higher education, retail, and residential.
