protective eyewearThe SecureFit Protective Eyewear 600 Series includes the Scotchgard™ Anti-fog Coating to help increase performance in wet and steamy environments. The proprietary coating lasts longer than traditional anti-fog coatings, retaining its effectiveness for at least 25 washings with water and allowing workers to wear their eyewear longer (based on 3M internal testing per EN168 test method when compared with traditional anti-fog coatings).

A rugged anti-scratch (RAS) coating (available in May) helps extend the life of the lens and meets the requirements of CSA Z94.3-2007 and ANSI Z87.1-2010. It is a super hard coat designed to help stand up to the rigors of a wide range of applications such as sanding, sawing, milling, machining, masonry, power fastening, buffing, and mining.protective eyewear

The SecureFit Protective Eyewear 600 Series comes in multiple lens color options (clear, grey, amber, and indoor/outdoor grey) and shades (Low IR, Shade 3.0, and Shade 5.0). Users can also choose photochromic and polarized lenses (available in May). Photochromic lenses darken when exposed to UV light outdoors and lighten when removed from UV exposure indoors. Polarized lenses reduce reflective glare and are commonly used in outdoor applications. Further, task-specific lens tints help reduce glare, eye stress, and fatigue in a variety of applications. Optional readers (available in May) with Scotchgard Anti-fog Coating come in a range of diopters (+1.5, +2.0, or +2.5)

3M-SecureFit-600-23M™ Pressure Diffusion Temple (PDT) Technology comes standard with every piece of SecureFit eyewear. PDT allows for a secure, comfortable fit and the ability to self-adjust to a wide array of head sizes. The 600 series will continue offering key features of the SecureFit line. These include the durable polycarbonate lenses that absorb 99.9% of UVA and UVB rays and meet the requirements of the ANSI Z87.1-2015 Impact Standard; an optional removable foam-lined gasket to keep debris out of the eyes while providing comfort and cushioning; a lightweight design; and a stylish yet sturdy frame for a touch of individualism.

“The SecureFit line debuted in 2013 and, has quickly grown to be 3M’s most popular line of safety eyewear,” says Gil Igo, global business manager at 3M Personal Safety Division. “The 600 Series builds on the comfort features customers have grown to love with options for further customization so workers have safety glasses that provide not only the right fit, but also some personal flair, to every job.”

The clear lens, clear lens with a foam gasket, and grey lens products from the SecureFit 600 Series are available now, with the entire series set to release in May 2017.
