While famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s portfolio includes a number of offices and headquarters buildings, SC Johnson owns the last operational corporate headquarters that Wright designed. To help continue Wright’s important legacy, SC Johnson, the maker of household brands like Glade®, Raid®, Scrubbing Bubbles® and Ziploc®, has reintroduced its free public tours of its historic Administration Building and Research Tower in Racine, WI.

“At SC Johnson, our remarkable buildings are just one of the many reasons that make SC Johnson a great place to work,” said Kelly M. Semrau, senior vice president of Global Corporate Affairs, Communication and Sustainability for SC Johnson. “These two buildings have been home to so many remarkable points in SC Johnson’s history, including the creation of Raid®, Glade®, OFF!®, and Pledge®. The kind of groundbreaking innovation that went into the building design has sparked our employees’ original thinking for decades and continues to inspire creativity to this day.”

SC Johnson’s 2017 tour schedule runs March through December and provides different views of the inspired architecture at the company’s headquarters including:

  • Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Administration Building
  • Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Research Tower
  • The recently refurbished 1940s penthouse office of SC Johnson’s third generation leader, H.F. Johnson Jr. (available on weekend tours only)
  • Award-winning Foster + Partners-designed Fortaleza Hall

The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed buildings at SC Johnson are also the first stops on Wisconsin’s new Frank Lloyd Wright Trail. Resulting from conversations between SC Johnson and Wisconsin State Rep. Cory Mason, with support from Speaker Robin Vos, the trail connects nine of Wright’s architectural sites across the state to make it easier for visitors from around the globe to experience and enjoy Wright’s legacy in his home state.

SC Johnson welcomes visitors to experience its Frank Lloyd Wright-designed buildings Thursday through Sunday (reservations required). A full overivew of architecture on the company’s headquarters campus is available here.
