“With the growing significance of IP69K in industrial environments and washdown procedures becoming more stringent due to the enactment of FSMA, we redesigned our line of non-metallic disconnect switches to ensure protection in food processing environments and wet locations,” said Andrew Taddoni, product manager, Leviton Commercial & Industrial. “We are proud to say that our full line of disconnect switches carry the most comprehensive watertight ratings for safety in any application across the industry.”

All disconnect enclosures feature a newly designed over-mold handle in red and yellow with three provisions for padlocks to ensure OSHA compliant lockout and tagout as well as NEMA KS1 padlocking capabilities. The handle’s longer length and over-mold design ensures strength, easier grip and durability for harsh, industrial environments.
