The A-ALR Emergency Exit Option for 6000 Series Exit Devices from Yale Commercial, an ASSA ABLOY group company, is suitable for commercial applications concerned with loss prevention, including retail and hospitality. It has the sleek lines of the original 6000 Series Exit Device with the complete features of an alarmed exit device.emergency exit

The Yale 6000 Series exit device is available in 13 mechanical functions and 11 electromechanical functions. It can be used in many types of facilities, including office buildings and mixed-use, and is suitable for both new construction and retrofit applications. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 Certified, a heavy-duty, angled end cap design protects the aluminum rail, eliminates catch points, and reduces damage. It is also offered with a Microshield® antimicrobial coating.

The 6000 Series Exit Device with A-ALR emergency exit option 
is available for 36″ to 48″ devices only. It has a built-in alarm powered by a 9V battery and sounds at 90 dB at 10′ from the device. Turning the key clockwise arms the alarm while a counter clockwise turn disarms or silences the alarm. A low audible chirp indicates the alarm has been activated and it will sound when the exit device push pad is depressed. The 6000 Series Exit Device with A-ALR emergency exit option is factory preset for standard alarm mode, which automatically resets after five minutes.

The A-ALR Emergency Exit Option for 6000 Series Exit Devices features several alarm modes, low battery warning, tamper resistance via a built-in
safety monitor, and a red LED indicator that will illuminate every 30 seconds to clearly display that the device is armed. For applications requiring specific aesthetics, a complete range of Yale exit device trims are available.
