Wireless Voice-to-Voice Intercom

RF Technologies and Digital Acoustics have partnered to introduce TalkMaster FOCUS for senior living

With life safety and security technology rapidly evolving, Brookfield, WI-based RF Technologies (RFT), a provider of wireless safety and security solutions for healthcare, hospitality, and education, has announced it is partnering with Lake Bluff, IL-based Digital Acoustics, to introduce the TalkMaster FOCUS™ Voice-to-Voice Intercom solution, now available for wireless configuration, for senior living environments. Digital Acoustics provides products that support internet-protocol (IP) communications solutions for a range of applications and industries.voice-to-voice intercom

According to Paul Larson, RFT’s Vice President, New Product Development & Engineering Services, “TalkMaster FOCUS Voice-to-Voice Intercom solution for senior living enables user-friendly, immediate communication between resident and staff. And, because wireless connectivity makes the solution simple to install and configure, the intercoms work equally well for new construction, building upgrades, or replacement of older analog systems.”

Designed for indoor environments, and available in desktop and wall-mount options, this voice-to-voice intercom provides clear, two-way audio for monitoring resident rooms, common areas, and exits. Voice-to-voice intercoms also provide an easy-to-manage, centralized solution for other site-wide communication needs. Wireless connectivity means that the solution is easily scalable to any facility size. The system integrates with CODE ALERT® software, the platform on which RFT nurse call systems run.

For staff, communication is simplified, enabling greater efficiency and improved response time. When integrated with the RFT IP Voice Bridge, TalkMaster FOCUS intercoms wirelessly interface with Android smartphones, allowing staff greater mobility throughout the building, easier facility-wide communication with co-workers and residents, and the ability to receive alerts without the need for carrying multiple devices.

Since 1987, RF Technologies has designed and delivered customizable wireless safety and security solutions for senior living, leveraging radio frequency identification (RFID) and real-time locating system technologies (RTLS); with RFT’s advanced technology, residents—and their families—have peace of mind, staff work more efficiently, and facility liability is minimized. RFT’s consistent challenge, asserts RFT founder and CEO, Glen Jonas, is “to lead the effort in helping senior care facilities provide the best possible care for the elders entrusted to them.”
