JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company and a global manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telehandlers, introduced a new reversing camera for all SkyTrak® brand telehandlers and the JLG® G5-18A. Suitable for both day and night work, the system features a built-in microphone and speakers, allowing the operator to hear jobsite activity happening outside the cab.
“Worksite safety means having clear visibility to all areas of the jobsite,” said John Boehme, senior product manager, telehandlers, JLG Industries. “Our new reversing camera gives operators additional confidence in the field, whether they’re working day or night.”
SkyTrak telehandlers provide improved boom function speeds, a single joystick for greater multifunction capability, an integrated arm rest, and optional air conditioning for increased comfort. Tier 4 Final engines are fuel-efficient with less environmental impact. Plus, engine parts and other serviceable components are easily accessible for quicker maintenance.
The JLG G5-18A telehandler provides a comfortable cab to reduce operator fatigue, a tight turning radius to maneuver through crowded jobsites, a fuel-efficient Tier 4 final Deutz engine, a variety of attachments for versatility in handling jobsite challenges, and a universal skid steer adapter compatible with existing skid steer attachments. It offers a maximum lift capacity of 5,500 pounds; a maximum lift height of 18′ 4″; and a maximum reach of 10′ 11″.
Other features of the new weatherproof reversing camera include touch buttons to control settings, a 120° view with a 250k pixel display, a 2.1 mm lens, a built-in heater for defrosting, and 30 infrared illuminators for superior night vision.
The weatherproof monitor has a 7″ TFT-LCD color display, back-lit buttons with removable sunshade, and distance grid lines to gauge proximity to objects. The monitor can also be paired with a reverse sensing system.
