Call For Nominations: 2020 Facility Executive Of The Year

With this annual award, our magazine highlights individuals for their work on a successful strategic initiative or construction project — recognizing the value they bring to their organizations.

The work of facility management professionals has a significant impact on their organizations, and in recent years the scope of this work has expanded even further and in new directions. The facilities industry is full of innovative, smart, curious, and assertive people, and in February 2020, Facility Executive magazine will recognize one of these leaders with its 18th Annual Facility Executive of the Year Award.facility management

Our editorial staff is currently seeking nominations for the 2020 Facility Executive of the Year Award. Materials are due by November 14, 2019.

With a featured profile in its first issue of 2020, Facility Executive will highlight an outstanding facility management professional for his or her work on one of the following areas:

  • Strategic initiative that is effecting real change for the facilities they oversee — and their organizations overall
  • Major renovation or new construction project

Facility executives may nominate themselves, or they can be nominated by others. Each nominee must approve his/her nomination and should be currently be employed by the organization for which the project took place.

Most recently recognized — as 2019 Facility Executive of the Year — was Richie Stever, director of operations and maintenance at University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) in Baltimore, MD. The Facility Executive February 2019 article profiles Stever’s spearheading the creation of a Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program at UMMC that recruits and trains new talent to the hospital’s facility management staff.

Other past winners include Kurt Beaudoin, senior facilities manager, adidas retail facilities (2018); Fred Reddig, director of facilities, NFL Detroit Lions (Ford Field) (2017); and Ralph Linne, director of county facilities, Hamilton County, Ohio (2016).
