Advanced Fire System Is Life Safety Compatible

Advanced and Keltron Collaborate to Improve Fire Safety in Multi-Building Facility Environments

Advanced announced that its Axis AX UL 864-listed fire system is now compatible with Keltron Corporation’s life safety event management systems. Keltron’s transceivers transmit system status and point-specific data from a multi-building facility’s fire systems to an on-site monitoring station. Now that the interface has been completed, Advanced Axis AX systems can be connected to a Keltron system.fire system

Mike Troiano, Advanced’s North American president, says, “Our fire system is providing customers across the Americas with a go-to solution for a wide range of verticals and installation projects, from single panels to huge networks that include the very latest in smoke control and audio technology. The Keltron interface further increases the flexibility of our system and enables end users with an installed Keltron system the option to upgrade or replace older fire alarm systems with an Advanced system.”

Axis AX is a complete system of fire panels, audio systems, command center, and high performance devices. At its core are intelligent single and multi-loop networkable fire alarm control panels with a complete range of intelligent loop devices, extensive peripherals, NAC, and conventional devices. Axis AX includes multi-channel audio with messages built into each node and synchronization of audio and NAC devices per panel across the network, with complete system redundancy. It offers multiple command center fire systemperformance, telephones, smoke and fan control, mass notification, graphical control, and BMS interfacing. Axis AX is designed to go anywhere you need high quality, reliable and easy to use fire detection and control, from mass transportation and industrial complexes to landmark developments, historic buildings, and public services.

Keltron’s life safety event management systems consist of individual products that enable users to customize solutions to fit their specific requirements. These dependable, high quality, UL listed dispatch systems (head ends), communications-specific transceivers and interfaces, and complementary alarm products combine to achieve optimal functionality for life safety event management. Continuous supervised monitoring, PC-based touch screen displays, optional output relays, tones transmitters, multiplexed inputs, wireless networking, and event history recording are just a few of the features that enable this fast, dependable alarm monitoring.fire system

The addition of Advanced Axis AX fire systems to Keltron’s list of interfaces enables campuses and multi-building facilities with an existing Keltron system to replace legacy fire systems with an upgrade to Advanced systems. The combination of the Keltron transceivers and Advanced Axis AX fire system provides a solution that meets the increasing demands and challenges of the latest codes, standards, and end-user requirements.

Commenting on the inclusion of Advanced alarm system, Mark Brandstein, Keltron’s president, adds, “One of Keltron’s major advantages for multi-building facilities is our ability to unify the disparate brands and models of fire alarm systems into a single monitoring, dispatching, and reporting system. Adding Advanced systems to our list of interfaces continues to expand on this advantage.”
