Altronix Introduces PoE Driven Power Supply

Tango1B takes advantage of 802.3bt PoE to significantly reduce the overall cost of deploying access control and security devices

Tango1B from Altronix, a provider of power and data transmission products for the professional security industry, is a PoE Driven Power Supply / Charger with Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Backup. Tango1B is powered by any 802.3bt 4PPoE power source (e.g., Altronix NetWay BT Series Midspan/Injectors). This Voltage Regulator converts an IEEE802.3bt PoE input into a regulated 24VDC and/or 12VDC output up to 75 watts. It eliminates the need for a high voltage power supply inside of an enclosure. The Tango eight-pin connector allows for stacking with compatible Altronix sub-assemblies such as ACMS8 and PDS8 (access power controllers and distribution boards), saving valuable enclosure space by utilizing a single footprint. Tango1B is designed to support a single 12V LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery for high storage and charge/discharge cycle life reliability.

Tango1B features short circuit and overload protection and offers the flexibility to power an entire eight-door access control system with 4PPoE. This includes powering the access control panels, locks, readers and ancillary devices, while providing a battery charging circuit with a single Cat5E or higher cable.

Tango1B is manufactured in the U.S. and backed by a lifetime warranty. This PoE driven power supply has an operating temperature of 32°F to 120°F and storage temperature of -4°F to 158°F (relative humidity 85% +/- 5%).
