BuildClean Dust Control System

This portable unit from ITW BuildClean is designed to prevent construction dust from disturbing the health and comfort of facility occupants.

Construction dust is often a pain point when renovating or upgrading a major facility. In commercial environments, it’s likely that occupants continue using the building while other parts of the facility are undergoing construction. Without proper planning and action, construction dust can quickly migrate and be disruptive and/or unsafe to occupants.construction dust

The BuildClean Dust Control System from ITW BuildClean is designed to prevent remodeling and construction dust from disturbing occupants and potentially triggering a health crisis by capturing and eliminating it before the dust can migrate throughout a building. In occupied spaces, remodeling and demolition dust can trigger asthma attacks, allergic reactions, and problems for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In addition, particles from demolition, scraping, and sanding can contain hazardous materials such as arsenic, silica, or lead.

The BuildClean Dust Control System is ideal for smaller, enclosed spaces, such as offices, conference rooms, and restrooms, within a large facility. With a portable, compact design (22″ high, 18″diameter) each unit can exchange the air in a 6,000-cubic-foot room six times in one hour, draws air in through two particle trapping filters, and returns clean air into the space. BuildClean’s 360 degree design and two-stage filtration system helps maximize coarse and fine particle collection on a job site.

Dynamic fan speed control increases the motor speed as filters load ensuring that performance is consistent and the desired CFM air flow is maintained. Auto Mode monitors the air and lets the unit work without supervision; the machine runs at high when dust is detected in the air. Filter cleanliness status is provided via stoplight-style LED lights that tell users when to clean or replace filters. The sound levels are 40 dB on high, and 28 dB on low.
