RubberGard™ EPDM Sealants for Firestone Building Products are designed for use with EPDM roofing systems. They include Lap Sealant HS, EcoWhite™ EPDM Lap Sealant, Pourable Sealer S-10 (Parts A & B), and FillGard™ M Pourable Sealer. Shelf life for each one is one year when stored in original, sealed containers at temperatures between 60°F and 80°F.
Lap Sealant HS is low volatile organic compound (LVOC) with less than 2.1 pounds per gallon. It is designed for use with Firestone Splice Adhesive SA-1065 for seam edge treatment applications and as a sealant in other applications. Lap Sealant HS is black with an EPDM rubber base and Light Aliphatic solvent. It is 80% (minimum) solids by volume and weighs 11.2 to 12.2 pounds per gallon with 1.34 to 1.46 specific gravity. Lap Sealant HS is packaged in five gallon pails (W563587032), plastic pails of 28-11 fl oz cartridges (W563587031), cardboard cartons with 25-11 fl oz cartridges (W56358703E), and cartons with 20-20 fl oz sausage chubs (W563587030).
EcoWhite EPDM Lap Sealant is LVOC (less than 2.1 pounds per gallon) and designed for seam edge treatment and other applications for EPDM roofing. It offers adhesion to a variety of surfaces and in conjunction with Firestone EcoWhite EPDM Systems. The sealant is white with a solvent based cure system, an EPDM rubber base, 80% (nominal) solids by volume, UV and ozone resistance, and 1.40 to 1.46 specific gravity. Packaged in 10.3 fl oz cartridges (W56358703A), EcoWhite EPDM Lap Sealant comes in a carton of 25 cartridges that weighs a total of 18 pounds.
The two-component Pourable Sealer S-10 (Part A & Part B) has a polyurethane base and creates a watertight seal around small pipe penetrations, clusters of pipes, I-beams, etc., in a penetration pocket detail. Part A is light gray, weighs 10.4 pounds per gallon with 1.25 specific gravity, and is packaged in one gallon cans. Part B is black, weighs 9.5 pounds per gallon with 1.14 specific gravity, and is packaged in one pint cans. Once mixed Pourable Sealer S-10 (W563587065) is black in color, contains zero VOC content, and is 100% solids. Cartons include four one gallon cans and four one pint cans and weigh approximately 46 pounds total. Mixing ratio is one can of Part B to one can of Part A. Pot life is 30 minutes (maximum) at 72°F.
FillGard M Pourable Sealer is a two-component polyurethane sealant for sealing penetration pockets in conjunction with Firestone EPDM roofing systems. Part A is light gray and weighs 9.15 pounds per gallon with 1.10 specific gravity. Part B is black and weighs 8.57 pounds per gallon with 1.03 specific gravity. Once mixed, FillGard M is black in color, contains zero VOC content, and is 100% solids by volume. FillGard M Pourable Sealer is dispensed using FillGard M Battery Powered SBA+ (available from Adco Roofing Products) or a pneumatic applicator tool. Each carton includes four FillGard M Kits (W563587088) and five Static Mixers. Kits include Cartridge Part A and Cartridge Part B attached side by side. Each cartridge weighs 25.4 fl oz, carton weight is 20 pounds, and each pallet contains 48 cartons.
