The National Safety Council (NSC) is accepting nominations for four prestigious awards that honor individuals and organizations that demonstrate steadfast commitment to the safety of colleagues, families, and communities. Eventual winners of the awards will model safety excellence and a dedication to continuous improvement.
“Nominees will understand that keeping each other safe is more than a goal, it is a mindset,” said Deborah A.P. Hersman, president and CEO of the National Safety Council. “We are proud to recognize exemplary contributions to making our world safer at work, at home, and everywhere in between.”
New to the lineup of awards this year is the NSC Community Advancement Award. This award will be presented to employers dedicated to the health and safety of employees and community members on and off the job.
Nominations are also being accepted for the following awards:
- Distinguished Service to Safety Award: Presented to individuals who have displayed exemplary efforts and successes in improving safety and health at work, in homes and communities, and on the roads
- Marion Martin Award: Established in 2016, this award honors women who have achieved success in safety while empowering other women
- Rising Stars of Safety: Given to individuals younger than 40 who have proven track records of safety leadership and have promoted continuous safety improvement at their organizations.
