Have a nice weekend!

Focus On: FM Software

Several recently released software products for facility management tasks are highlighted.

Facility Executive serves as a comprehensive resource for facility professionals who regularly purchase product and services for their facilities. In this web exclusive FM Software product focus, the editors present several offerings on the market. These are in addition to the products you will find featured in each issue of the magazine.

Service Request Module by iOffice A tool to coordinate on-demand and preventive maintenance tasks in real-time.
The Service Request Module interfaces with the many user groups engaged with managing a facility. It is a tool to coordinate on-demand and preventive maintenance tasks in real-time. Customizable work order forms are generated and dispatched to the appropriate on-site resources or to off-site, third party vendors via e-mail or smartphone and can be accessed via computer or remotely through any web-enabled device. Technicians can access all information about the work order request including service issue, employee contact, location information, and service instruction. Files and photos can also be attached. This facility maintenance software is fully integrated with the iOffice asset tracking software, so work orders for specific building and office assets can be coordinated and tracked, including notes and comments, work order resolution, and supplies utilized. Service is transparent to all stakeholders, allowing requesters to monitor status and management to visualize activity and performance. Facilities managers can monitor real-time activity and requirements of the operation so that resources can be cost-effectively managed.

ECLYPSE™ and ENVYSION by Distech ControlsThis connected system controller is an HVAC controller with BACnet/IP, wired, and wireless IP connectivity. A web-based “drag and drop” graphic design and visualization interface that simplifies complex information into graphical elements so facility executives can detect issues, assess cost-effectiveness, and take proper actions to optimize resource efficiencies.
The ECLYPSE connected system controller is an HVAC controller with BACnet/IP, wired, and wireless IP connectivity. This modular and scalable platform permits integration with building management systems and convergence with IT networks. It consists of a control automation and connectivity server, power supplies, and I/O modules, allowing users to select the type and number of required modules, and add-on for future upgrades. ENVYSION is a web-based “drag and drop” graphic design and visualization interface that simplifies complex information into graphical elements so facility executives can detect issues, assess cost-effectiveness, and take proper actions to optimize resource efficiencies. It delivers dynamic and interactive content, such as floor layouts with heat/cool mapping, playback functions to visualize, and replay data for improved alarm diagnostics through a responsive, HTML 5 interface. ECLYPSE can either be paired with ENVYSION for a completely autonomous solution, or used as part of an integrated building management solution, with EC-NetAX. Combined, they help achieve reduced costs, enhanced monitoring and control, and improved responsiveness to occupants for Internet of Things facilities.

SmartStruxure™ Lite by Schneider ElectricAn open system that offers programmable control and management of a facility’s HVAC, lighting, and metering.
SmartStruxure Lite is an integrated building management system (iBMS) designed for small- and medium-sized facilities that are less than 100,000 square feet, providing tailored functionalities for locations such as retail stores and schools. It is an open system that offers programmable control and management of a facility’s HVAC, lighting, and metering. The backbone of the solution is multi-purpose management devices (MPM) that combine programmable controller, gateway, and Web server duties in a single device. The MPM (MPM-GW, MPM-UN, and MPM-VA) hosts StruxureWare™ Building Expert, a no-license-fee web interface, so no special gateway or server is needed. MPM devices can network via daisy chain, IP/Ethernet, or ZigBee wireless mesh and can manage wired (analogue and digital inputs and outputs), Modbus, EnOcean (wireless), and ZigBee (wireless) end-devices. Built on open standards, SmartStruxure Lite integrates with new and existing building infrastructure, through EcoStruxure Web Services (EWS), BACnet® IP, and oBIX. It also acts as the wireless enabler to Schneider Electric’s iBMS, SmartStruxure solution, which meets the more complex needs of larger commercial buildings and enables the gradual deployment of new technologies for continuous building improvement and future proofing.

Primavera Facility Management by OracleA flexible solution to plan, manage, and maintain smooth operation of facilities through facility condition assessment and maintenance, space, and document management.
Primavera Facility Management provides a flexible solution to plan, manage, and maintain smooth operation of facilities through facility condition assessment and maintenance, space, and document management. Users can create service requests using a web portal interface and route them directly to the appropriate personnel; generate work orders to inspect, maintain, and correct issues; schedule automatic preventive maintenance work orders through timed or metered based scheduling; roll up maintenance work related costs to a central cost sheet, and view detailed costs per transaction across a facility or portfolio of facilities; visualize occupancy and room availability of a facility by floor or level; and inspect and assess a facility, gaining visibility on the conditions of its building systems to compute the FCI index. From defining and tracking building spaces to performing facility inspections, the Primavera Facility Management toolset adapts to customer specific needs
