Yesterday in New York City, Architect Frank Gehry presented his proposed design for the Atlantic Yards high rise complex and new home of the New Jersey Nets in Brooklyn. (No, Brooklyn is not in New Jersey, so I guess the name of the team will change when the team moves.) The design has been criticized for its failure to blend with existing buildings, but blending is not really what Gehry is all about, is it?

Developers Forest City Ratner say the proposed designs don’t really represent what the completed project will look like, but that hardly comforts Brooklynites who have not warmed to Gehry’s architectural acrobatics.
