Prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery… each of these is crucial to emergency preparedness, specifically for extreme violence events in the workplace or other facility setting. This session will walk through each of these five elements to provide facility management professionals practical insight on preparedness for these often unpredictable events. Will include information from the Department of Homeland Security’s revised Active Shooter Preparedness curriculum, and from the ASIS International American National Standard for Workplace Violence Prevention and Intervention.
