Topics to be covered are: building occupancy characteristics, typical security-related incidents, warning signs and indicators, response protocols, notification hierarchies, concealment vs. cover, what to expect when law enforcement arrives.

John is a Senior Director at Kroll, based in the New York office. He has a varied security operational and administrative background, and has directed security management operations for leading financial firms, property management organizations, and high net worth individuals for nearly 20 years. Prior to joining Kroll in August 2012, John was Director of Security for the Wells Fargo national account, Jones Lang LaSalle. The assignment covered security management and oversight of the portfolio, including senior executive offices, trading floors, data centers, critical infrastructure, and building management systems. Additional responsibilities were fire/life safety planning and preparedness, continuity of operations, emergency preparedness, security operations management, security system management, and federal law enforcement liaison. John has served as an adjunct professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice for the past seven years.
