Travis Nelson has 13 years of energy industry experience. As a Senior Energy Efficiency Program Manager at ComEd, he is responsible The ComEd® Energy Efficiency Program standard/custom and data center offers. The Energy Efficiency Program is one of the largest programs in the country, and the standard/custom and data programs account for more than a quarter of the portfolio’s energy savings.
Before ComEd, Nelson worked in data center facilities and managed an energy efficiency project in Chicago that received a $500,000 ComEd incentive. Additionally, he spent nine years in the US Navy as an active duty nuclear-trained mechanic and as a nuclear mechanic instructor at the Navy’s nuclear prototype training facility in New York. Nelson has a Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering Technologies from Excelsior College and a Master’s degree in Energy Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
