The MegaVideo Flex is a multi-megapixel, flexible, and compact camera series for indoor or outdoor installations.

The MegaVideo® Flex by Arecont Vision® is a multi-megapixel, flexible, and compact camera series. It offers a cost-effective security solution for indoor or outdoor installations where the constraints of ordinary cameras are a challenge.compact camera

The MegaVideo Flex fits into a wide range of areas and settings, such as ATMs and other tight or discreet spaces. At the same time it delivers megapixel (MP) high definition video with a choice of 1.2MP, 1080p, 3MP, and 5MP resolution models.

The MegaVideo Flex is composed of the camera sensor, metal mounting bracket, USB cable, and the main camera unit. The sensor can be surface mounted via the supplied bracket or flush mounted into a ceiling or wall with the two included fastening nuts; no additional mounting accessories are required. The USB cable allows the sensor to be mounted in one area with the main unit up to 40′ away. The camera has both white and black trim rings so that the sensor can further blend into environments. The main unit features two USB ports to allow the addition of one or two IR (infrared) illuminators. Each illuminator includes six infrared 850nm LEDs to provide up to 49′ of night vision capability.

A true day/night compact camera, MegaVideo Flex is suitable for applications with variable lighting conditions. In addition to the optional IR illuminators, NightViewâ„¢ technology in the 1.2MP model ensures coverage in areas where little light is present. Applications with bright or over saturated lighting conditions can be addressed with models that include Wide Dynamic Range (WDR).

MegaVideo Flex cameras are enhanced with remote focus to facilitate ease of initial setup and future adjustments. The ability to change lenses brings additional flexibility in application uses. Options include 2.1, 2.8, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 16mm lenses.

MegaVideo Flex cameras offer advanced streaming capabilities. They are designed on the Arecont Vision H.264 encoding platform to deliver high-quality video without straining the network. Power can be supplied via a single Power-over Ethernet (PoE) compliant network or from a 12-48V DC/24V AC power supply. The camera interface allows for an intuitive configuration and the AV IP Utility tool enables users to configure or update one or multiple cameras simultaneously.
