On-site car repair service company Wrench is building on its successful west coast launch in four metro markets with a service offering designed specifically for small and medium fleets. The company has seen the need for this type of service for organizations with fleets that are too small to justify an in-house full time mechanic and service bay, while also not large enough to be given high priority by other fleet service providers. The company is focusing on reaching security, industrial/service, and delivery companies that operate with fleets that number less than 500 vehicles. Currently, Wrench operates in Seattle, San Diego, Portland, OR, and Phoenix with national expansion plans underway.
The Wrench Advantage Fleet program includes a comprehensive on-site diagnostic check-up that includes tire pressure, fluid top offs, preventive maintenance, and a safety check, along with a full synthetic oil change and tire rotations. Service is scheduled at intervals that are appropriate for the client’s organization — monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual. The new program costs start at $90 per vehicle service for SUVs and trucks. Should a check up point to the need for a new part or repair, the customer receives a 10% discount off the normal Wrench list price.
Wrench co-founder and CEO, Edward Petersen, said of the new offerings, “We’re excited to bring this service to an underserved market niche that is too small to justify their own full time mechanic and has historically not been given the priority they deserve.”
Wrench customer Lory Mace, fleet manager with Puget Sound Security Patrol in Bellvue, WA, comments, “We use Wrench Advantage for our fleet and are extremely happy as they save us both time and money. It is a hidden bonus that they always go the extra mile.”
Wrench mechanics have passed background checks and are certified with ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) or various OEM credentials. All Wrench repair work is backed by a 12 month and 12,000 mile guarantee. Wrench is backed by the Madrona Venture Group, a venture capital group in the Pacific Northwest.
