Roof Consultants Institute Foundation receives support from Firestone

Firestone Building Products Company recently donated $10,000 to the Roof Consultants Institute Foundation to support the Foundation’s commitment to education and research initiatives. Firestone presented the check to Joe Hale, RCI Foundation chairman, during the Roofing Consultants Institute (RCI) 21st International Convention and Trade Show.

“Firestone is committed to quality educational opportunities that benefit industry professionals, and we value the strong goal-oriented relationship we share with the RCI Foundation,” said Michael Gorey, president of Firestone Building Products and CEO of BFS Diversified Products, LLC. “We are proud to be a part of the RCI Foundation’s work and hope our donation will provide educational and professional growth opportunities.”

Since 2002, Firestone has donated $50,000 to the RCI Foundation to help expand research and educational programs within the roofing industry. Firestone annually promotes and supports education through contributions to roofing association foundations, such as the RCI Foundation.

The RCI Foundation is the philanthropic sister organization to RCI. The foundation’s mission is to support research, education and the dissemination of information on issues important to the roofing industry.

RCI is an international non-profit association of architects, engineers and professional roof consultants who specialize in the specification and design of roof systems. Roof consultants plan roof design solutions, perform evaluations of existing roofs, prepare construction documents, monitor construction and serve as expert witnesses.
