Spectra Analog V Improves PTZ Surveillance

Spectra Analog V series cameras are suitable for a wide range of industries that require 24/7 PTZ surveillance and include PTZ indoor in-ceiling and pendant domes with flexible camera options.

Spectra Analog V cameras from Pelco are suitable for a wide range of industries that require 24/7 PTZ surveillance. The series includes a range of PTZ indoor in-ceiling and pendant domes with flexible camera options to covertly capture mission-critical detail in poorly lit situations using familiar NTSC/PAL standard video.PTZ surveillance

Spectra Analog V features enhanced detection with up to 740TVL resolution, which provides a sharp image. Additionally, the camera series includes 30x Optical Zoom along with Wide Dynamic Range and Low Light capabilities. Spectra V’s variable speed capabilities range from a smooth, fast pan motion of 400° per second to a smooth “creep” speed of 0.1° per second. The system is capable of continuous 360° rotation and has an “autoflip” feature that allows the dome to rotate 180° and reposition itself for uninterrupted viewing of any subject that passes directly beneath the dome.

Spectra Analog V dome systems consist of three components: a back box, a dome drive, and a lower dome. Each is interchangeable with other Spectra® IV and V dome systems, making retrofitting and application adjustments simple. Also, dome drives and lower domes can be removed and replaced reducing maintenance time. Users can boost operational efficiency and automation in any industry by taking advantage of relay and alarm support along with both VAC and VDC power options for a simple installation process.

The Spectra Analog V cameras have an operating temperature of -40°F to 140°F for PTZ surveillance in challenging environments. They can stand up to harsh environmental conditions through their IP67-rated metal housing and an IK10 rating for select models, including pressurized and stainless-steel options.

The Stainless Steel option meets NEMA Type 4X and IP66 standards. The components (back box and lower dome) provide added protection against corrosive conditions. Pelco’s Pressurized Spectra V option provides protection of the camera optics and electronics from moisture, corrosive gases, and airborne contaminants, meeting NEMA Type 6P and IP67 standards when installed properly. Domes are pressurized with dry nitrogen before or after installation to stabilize the internal environment. Temperature, pressure, and dew point sensors are placed inside the system to send “Alert” messages when conditions are beyond factory-set limits and allow for real time on-screen monitoring. The lower dome features a single captivated fastener, O-ring seal, and a stainless steel V-band to create a pressure seal. Accessible on the lower dome trim ring is a Schrader valve for system purging and a pressure relief valve.
