VERDEâ„¢ (G690) is an energy-producing treadmill from SportsArt. It is a new model in the ECO-POWRâ„¢ line of environmentally responsible cycles and ellipticals.
VERDE is the industry’s first treadmill that is capable of harnessing human power and converting it to utility grade electricity. The sleek, non-motorized design combines supremely low friction and flat-slat belt to create an approachable unit that feels natural and comfortable. Utilizing both mechanical and electrical braking systems the VERDE allows walking, jogging, running, sprinting, or sled pushing features that cater to a broad spectrum of users, from deconditioned to elite athletes and is capable of capturing up to 200 watts/hour of energy.
The ECO-POWR treadmill features numeric keypads; a low, fixed degree incline; two headphone jacks with built-in volume control; a USB port for device charging; and a three-speed fan. Read Outs include Calories, Time, Distance, Cal/Hr, Mets, Pace, Human Watts, Heart Rate, Speed, Target Speed, Resistance, and Instant Watt To Grid. Goals include Time, Distance, Calories, and Watt-Hour To Grid. An SA WELL+â„¢ workout tracking function is optional.
VERDE measures 84″ x 35.4″ x 65.3″ with a 21″ x 58″ running surface and speed range of 2mph to 10 mph. It weighs 528 pounds with a user weight capacity of 330 pounds.
ECO-POWR products harness the power of human energy and put it back into the grid. When plugged into a power outlet the human energy generated converts to utility-grade electricity, offsetting significant savings for the club owner. ECO-POWR is also in compliance with CE and UL standards.
ECO-POWR equipment can help gain LEED points and certification. Users can receive between one and four points for their LEED Scorecard by incorporating ECO-POWR cardio equipment into their fitness facility. Through the LEED V4 for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance rating system, SportsArt ECO-POWR products may contribute to credits in the categories of Energy & Atmosphere and Innovation.
