The Tourlock 180+90 from Boon Edam is an automated four wing security revolving door. It accurately prevents unauthorized entry, tailgating, and piggybacking into a facility’s most sensitive areas, allowing maximum security at entrances in a completely unmanned environment.
The Tourlock 180+90 is suitable when both high security and high traffic flow are needed. It offers maximum throughput, allowing users to enter and leave the building simultaneously. This truly “unmanned” security solution allows facilities to reallocate existing security guards/staff to other areas of the building. Because of this reallocation, it has an average ROI payback of just one to two years.
An optional piggybacking detection system for the Tourlock 180+90 is StereoVision 2®, which recognizes shapes, size, and volume in three dimensions using time of flight technology—a combination of near infrared and optical sensors. By analyzing this data, the system determines the number of people attempting to enter in a single compartment on one authorization and stops the door when a violation occurs.
The Tourlock 180+90 features BoonConnect, an IP-addressable, proprietary software system that provides diagnostic and configuration tools for the technician and facility manager. Users can access door operations and events using devices such as a tablet, laptop, or smartphone via secured corporate network. The security revolving door will also feature an AMAG Symmetry card reader to demonstrate access control integration.
The Tourlock 180+90 is delivered in fail-safe mode, disengaging the lock and motor in the event of a power failure or alarm situation. Optionally the door can be made fail-secure, making sure no one can enter the secured area during a power failure or fire alarm signal. Fail-secure operation maintains security in the event of an emergency and can be offered with or without a manual unlocking possibility. A battery back-up is optional to prevent malfunction if a power failure occurs. The Tourlock is equipped with a collapsible door set that can be unlocked and collapsed together in case of emergency to provide free passage.
