Transcend® Composite Decking from Trex® is a premium system with a deep wood-grain pattern and luxury colors that create an ageless look. Hassle free, it does not require sanding, staining, or painting, and food and drink spills wash off with just soap and water.
Engineered with a proprietary shell technology that protects against fading, staining, scratching, mold, and mildew, Transcend decking will not rot, warp, crack, or splinter. It features a broad range of decking colors and finishes, including four premium tropical colors (Havana Gold, Island Mist, Lava Rock, Spiced Rum, and Tiki Torch) and four classic earth tones (Firepit, Gravel Path, Rope Swing, Tree House, and Vintage Lantern) with railing options that offer opportunities to mix and match profiles and colors for a customized look.
Transcend Composite Decking provides three decking profiles: 1″ Square Edge Board, 2″ Square Edge Board, and 1″ Grooved Edge Board. The 1″ Square Edge Board measures .94″ x 5.5″ x 12′, .94″ x 5.5″ x 16′, or .94″ x 5.5″ x 20′. The 2″ Square Edge Board measures 1.3″ x 3.4″ x 16′ (2 x 4 x 16) or 1.3″ x 5.5″ (2 x 6). The 2 x 6 boards come in 12′, 16′, and 20′ lengths. Both of these profiles install traditionally like wood using deck screws. The 1″ Grooved Edge Board measures .94″ x 5.5″ x 12′, .94″ x 5.5″ x 16′, or .94″ x 5.5″ x 20′ and installs using Trex’s Hidden Fastening System beneath the deck surface, leaving a tidy finish free of screw holes.
Transcend decking is made from 95% recycled materials, including reclaimed wood and sawdust as well as recycled plastic from many common household items, such as the plastic overwrap on packaging for paper towels and toilet paper, dry cleaner bags, newspaper bags, and grocery and shopping bags. Trex annually salvages and keeps more than 400 million pounds of plastic and wood scrap out of landfills. The average 500-square-foot composite Trex deck contains 140,000 recycled plastic bags.
Transcend Composite Decking can be power washed using only a fan tip and up to a 3,100 psi power washer to remove dirt and debris. The fan tip should be no closer than 8″ away from the protective shell during use.
