The Versalux LED from U.S. Architectural Lighting is an energy-saving outdoor lighting fixture for public areas. It offers a range of mounting options, including arm, post top, canopy, and wall mount.
Versalux LED features the VLED Optical Module®, a system offering modular interchangeability to meet site-specific design criteria. The module optimizes LED performance by optically controlling the output of each LED for beam spread and placement. Sealed to meet an IP67 rating, it conducts heat away from the individual components and convects that heat into the Versalux LED housing. The modules are available in 64 LED, 80 LED, and 120 LED packages with wattages from 70 watts to 260 watts and lumen output from 5,100 lumens to 19,200 lumens. Versalux VLED optics are available in Type II, III, IV, and V-Sq with both full range and switch-controlled high/low dimming options.
The lens frame encases the VLED Optical Module and has large slotted openings around its perimeter. These openings allow cooling air to be drawn into the housing and across the VLED Module and cooling fins across the top to lower the operating temperature of the LED’s. The warmer air is vented out the convection vents creating a continuous airflow. The openings are perforated to keep out birds and larger objects and are protected by the “over-hang” design of the housing.
The housing of the Versalux LED outdoor lighting fixture is heavy-walled unitized 0.125″ cast-aluminum and provides durable performance even in harsh environments. The internal driver compartment is gasketed and sealed. The finish is electrostatically applied TGIC polyester powder-coat on substrate prepared with a 20 PSI power wash at 140°F with a four step sand blast and iron phosphate pretreatment for protection and paint adhesion. The finish is baked at 400°F for maximum hardness and durability. Versalux LED standard textured finishes include black, white, grey, dark bronze, and green. Custom colors are also available.
