Worksaver SATG & SASB Sweep Action Grapples

The SATG (Sweep Action Tine Grapple) and SASB (Sweep Action Solid Bottom Construction Grapple) sweep debris into the bucket to reduce cleanup time.

The SATG (Sweep Action Tine Grapple) and SASB (Sweep Action Solid Bottom Construction Grapple) are part of Worksaver, Inc.’s family of Sweep Action Grapples. These models feature a patent pending grapple design that sweeps debris into the bucket, reducing cleanup time. Material is moved into and retained in the bucket when the cylinder overcomes the spring pressure, causing the front rake to rotate towards the bucket in a sweeping motion.

sweep action grapplesThe SATG Sweep Action Tine Grapple offers an open tine bottom with its sweep-in grapples, making it suitable for handling site demolition debris, rocks, brush, wood, and metal. The sweeping action allows operators to pick up small materials without leaving the cab, eliminating hand cleanup, while leaving the dirt behind. The patent pending design of the SATG keeps the front rake of the sweep clamp open during use until the rear section of the clamp is either closed or contacts the material being handled. The cylinder then overcomes the spring pressure causing the front rake to rotate towards the bucket in a sweeping motion moving material in and retaining it in the bucket.

The SASB Sweep Action Solid Bottom Construction Grapple is also equipped with sweep-in grapples and features a scrap yard tested solid bottom low profile bucket. The bucket bottom is made of abrasion resistant steel with three ½” x 4″ reinforcing wear strips for longer bucket life. The bucket cutting edge is drilled to accept a bolt-on beveled (reversible) cutting edge, increasing the durability and life of the bucket edge. The sweep action clamps of the SASB are raised, lowered, and closed by 2″ x 8″ 3,000 psi cylinders. A cylindrical compression spring of round wire holds the front sweep clamp in its open position to allow gathering of debris. This versatility allows the operator to own one tool to handle all types of materials.

Both the SATG and SASB sweep action grapples are available in 72″, 78″, and 84″ models.
