The ProBio-ID from ZKAccess is a multi-biometric access control device with SilkID and face recognition technology. Verification modes include face, fingerprint, card, and password. It offers security and convenience, all in a single, easily installed, standalone unit.
“ProBio-ID has the unique ability to read faces, fingerprints, RFID cards, PIN codes, or any combination of these four credentials,” notes Larry Reed, CEO, ZKAccess.
The ProBio-ID connects directly to door locks (or panels) no differently than a common keypad or RFID card reader. This hands-free access control device provides highly secure yet simple and affordable door access control for all types of customers. Users can identify or verify users by their face, fingerprint, proximity card or PIN/password… or any combination, all conveniently from a single device. A built-in infrared light source enables operation in dimly lit rooms.
The ProBio-ID access control terminal applies the SilkID fingerprint sensor for superior accuracy and speed matching. Silk ID not only has a high identification rate towards dry, wet, and rough fingers, but also provides the utmost security with live finger detection. It can operate under strong light, and activates automatically when a finger approaches to save power.
ProBio-ID also features a face recognition camera for true hands-free access control. Using ZKTeco’s latest ZKFACE version 7.0 high-speed face recognition algorithm, it has an extremely high verification speed and low error rate, in addition to being able to effectively prevent duplicated registration. In addition, the new ZMM 220 hardware platform has a clock rate of 1.2 GHZ, greatly enhancing the speed of fingerprint and face verification.
The scalable ProBio-ID provides a capacity of 4,000 fingerprints; 2,000 (1:N) / 4,000 (1:1) faces; 10,000 cards; 100,000 transactions; 4,000 user photos; and 2,000 event photos. The access control interface includes Lock Relay Output, Alarm Output / Auxiliary Input, Exit Button / Door Sensor, and Doorbell Output. Standard functions include Access Levels / Groups / Holidays, DST / Bell Schedule, Duress Mode, Anti-Passback, Record Query, Custom Wallpaper, and Screen Saver. Special functions include Multiple Biometric Verification Modes, Live Finger Detection, Event Snapshot, User Photo, ZK Encrypted Card (Optional), and Fingerprint Card. Communication is accomplished via TCP/IP, RS485 (For Slave Reader), USB Host, Wiegand Input / Output, or Security Relay Box.
The access control device measures approximately 7½” x 3.3″ x 4″ and has a working temperature of 14°F to 122°F. The ProBio-ID package includes a 12V 3A power supply and has an operating voltage of 12V DC and < 500mA current draw.
