Joan Meeting Room Assistant Wins Red Dot Award

Visionect’s digital door label, Joan Meeting Room Assistant, has received the prestigious international Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016. Joan is the first ever digital door label to receive the Red Dot Award, beating out a record number of competing entries this year – almost 5,200 from 57 countries.

digital door labelJoan Meeting Room Assistant is a digital door sign and conference room scheduling solution developed specifically for identifying and managing meeting rooms. It is compatible with all standard office calendars, including Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, Google Apps, and iCal. Joan connects itself to available Wi-Fi networks, is quick to install, requires no cables, and uses little electricity. The system has no buttons, only an E Ink touchscreen and stays autonomous up to three months.

The Red Dot Award is one of the largest design competitions in the world, bestowing an international seal of outstanding design quality each year to select products.The jury of 41 design professionals selected Joan due to its superb minimalism, ease of use, and innovative epaper technology.

The Red Dot jury recognized Joan as a good fit for a modern, technologically advanced workplace: “With its intelligent technology and a versatile appearance, Joan Meeting Room Assistant meets the needs of a digitally-dominated world of work.”
