Camden Universal Grade 1 Electric Strikes

The CX-ED1079L and CX-ED1079DL are ‘Universal’ Grade 1 electric strikes for cylindrical and mortise locksets that come with three stainless steel faceplates.

Two ‘Universal’ Grade 1 strikes have been introduced by Camden Door Controls: the CX-ED1079L and the CX-ED1079DL. They are electric strikes for cylindrical locksets that come with three stainless steel faceplates (CX-ESP1B, CX-ESP2B, and CX-ESP4B) designed for ANSI square (4-7/8″ x 1¼”), ANSI round (4-7/8″ x 1¼”), and wood door (7-7/8″ x 1-3/8″) frames.

Electric StrikesThe CX-ED1079L (low profile for ½” to 5/8″ latch projection) and CX-ED1079DL (standard depth for 5/8″ to 3/4″ latch projection) ‘Universal’ Grade 1 ANSI electric strikes offer ‘Universal’ performance with selectable 12/24V AC (buzz)/DC (silent) and fail safe/fail secure operation. They are non-handed with easy fit connectors for power and monitoring wires, and offer horizontal faceplate/body adjustment and latch monitoring.

The CX-ED1079L and the CX-ED1079DL provide centerline latch entry for cylindrical and mortise locksets with continuous duty operation. They feature a static strength of 1,500 pounds, a dynamic strength of 70 ft-lbs, and a 1,000,000-cycle endurance. Current draw is 300mA @ 12VDC and 150mA @ 24VDC.

The CX-ESP3B is an additional faceplate offered separately (not included in package with other three) for the CX-ED1079L and the CX-ED1079DL. It is stainless steel for hollow metal doors and measures 6-7/8″ x 1¼”. Lip extension brackets are also available for the ANSI strikes: the CX-ED-LIP1 is a 1″ lip extension and the CX-ED-LIP2 is a 2″ lip extension.

The CX-ED1079L measures 3-3/8″ L x 1¾” W x 1-1/8″ D and CX-ED1079DL measures 3-3/8″ L x 1¾” W x 1-3/8″ D. Both strikes are backed by a full five year warranty.
