DTK-WM4 Surge Protection

DITEK’s network surge protectors offer four-channels and support data speeds up to 10GbE

The DTK-WM4 from DITEK is a family of wall-mount network surge protectors. These four-channel devices feature state-of-the-art technologies to provide robust surge protection for any desired combination of Ethernet, PoE, and PoE Extender circuits, while supporting data speeds up to 10GbE.surge protection

The DTK-WM4 is compact and offers rapid-replacement surge protection modules with shielded RJ45 connections and is suitable for smaller installations that do not require large rack-mounted protection systems.

“Smaller installations need just as much network surge protection as large installations—in fact, they may be even more dependent on each circuit,” said Jason Klein, National Sales Manager, DITEK. “Now it is easier than ever to include best-in-breed protection as a part of every project.”

Two versions of DTK-WM4 are available: DTK-WM4NETS is a four-channel Ethernet and PoE surge protector, while DTK-WM4EXTS is a four-channel PoE Extender surge protector. Both versions use the same design as the company’s rack-mount models, but in a compact package with simple, versatile mounting. They are also modular, allowing for rapid replacement measured in seconds, and the protection modules are the same as the larger rack-mount devices, so one set of spares will support a full range of installations.

DITEK’s state-of-the-art network protection circuitry features a hybrid design with both Silicon Avalanche Diode (SAD) and Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) technologies for IP network protection; and the field-replaceable protection modules offer a robust 20kA per pair surge current capacity—the highest available for shielded network devices. All models are compatible with CAT5e (max bandwidth of 100 MHz), CAT6 (max bandwidth of 250 MHz), and CAT6A (max bandwidth of 500 MHz) cabling infrastructure.

The DTK-WM4 measures 4.75″ L x 2.96″ W x 2.36″ H, weighs 8.8 ounces, and has an operating temperature of -40°F to 158°F with a maximum humidity of 95%, non-condensing.
