The FM40 ST (56105618) and FM40 LX (56105620) by Clarke are orbital floor machines designed specifically to provide powerful and versatile floor cleaning in wet and dry applications. They replace Clarke’s BOS18 orbital scrubbers.
The FM40 ST and LX provide chemical-free floor stripping for removing floor finish in small or hard to reach areas such as corners and tight spaces. When paired with the appropriate pads they can be used to prep gym floors for finish recoat; clean grout in bathrooms; burnish terrazzo, marble, and concrete; and bonnet clean carpet. Pad accessories include 3M surface preparation pads, red scrub pads, blue scrub pads, black scrub pads, carpet bonnet, grout pad, diamond pads, and sand screens.
Both the FM40 ST standard model and FM40 LX deluxe model feature a 20″ x 14″ floor cleaning path with a 1.5 horsepower motor, 160 pounds of down pressure, and a 3,540 RPM pad driver so floors get cleaner in fewer passes. When paired with the Clarke BOOST auto scrubbers, the FM40 ST and LX help operators clean virtually any floor regardless of its size or shape.
The FM40 LX deluxe model includes an attachable baseboard cleaning tool (optional on ST) to eliminate manual baseboard cleaning. Its wheels up/wheels down feature (6″ wheels can be raised or lowered) provides improved maneuverability for single-handed operation in forward and backward motion and full modularity, making it transportable to and from various job sites.
The FM40 ST and FM40 LX offer a quiet, low vibration design at 68 dB A and include a weight kit consisting of three 21 pound weights and a 50′ safety yellow power cord. Other bright yellow components simplify identification and two optional kits are offered for either dust containment or solution dispensing.
The FM40 ST measures 20″L x 20½”W x 44″H and the FM40 LX measures 20¾”L x 20½”W x 44½”H. Each weighs 63 pounds (without weights) and comes with a three year warranty on parts and two year warranty on labor.
