Openpath Delivers Modern Access Control

Openpath Access enables employees to quickly and securely enter the office using their smartphones, even if it’s in their purse or pocket.

Openpath Access from Openpath enables employees to quickly and securely enter the office using their smartphones, even if it’s in their purse or pocket. The cloud-based modern access control system scales with the business and seamlessly integrates with platforms like G Suite and Office 365.modern access control

Openpath Access features patented SurePath Mobile technology that ensures reliability and quick entry via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and LTE, while encryption shields against cloning, sniffing, and key copying. The system gives administrators more control with scheduled locking, custom zones, user-level permissions, and emergency lockdown capabilities.

“The Openpath system simplifies access control so that business owners and managers can spend their time focused on what matters most: running their businesses. Feedback from our beta customers over the past year has been fantastic and we are eager to bring modern access control to businesses everywhere,” said James Segil, President and Co-founder of Openpath.

For users who require a physical badge, Openpath offers the same level of security and convenience. DESFire EV1 128-bit AES cryptographic cards with digitally signed identifiers offer the highest level of security, making it extremely difficult for bad actors to clone, copy, or emulate cards. MIFARE RFID cards are also supported for backwards compatibility of legacy RFID systems when running Hybrid mode with a legacy card system. Badges and Fobs can be ordered in packs of 10, 25, and 50. Large volume custom design options are available.

In addition, the modern access control system’s audit report lets each user see their complete access history for the last 24 hours; Guest Pass allows authorized users to text or e-mail a temporary access link to visitors; and Remote Unlock supports multiple devices per user for use on phones, tablets, and watches simultaneously.

Steve Arhancet, Co-CEO at Team Liquid, an early Openpath customer, said: “There’s no other system built as well as Openpath’s that enables individuals to use their phone as a key and hosts its software in the cloud. I love that Openpath Access integrates with Google Suite, automatically enabling our registered employees and vendors to enter our facilities when they need to. For any CEO or facility manager looking for a more intuitive, beautifully designed and secure access control system, I highly recommend Openpath.”
