Humanscale, designer and manufacturer of ergonomic workplace tools, recently introduced Rise, a sit/stand solution that retrofits existing desks to allow users to transition between sitting and standing positions. Rise employs constant-force technology, the same technology in Float, a sit/stand table from Humanscale that allows users to alternate postures with ease. With Rise, facility managers can incorporate sit/stand for their organization’s workspaces without having to invest in new workstations. It can also serve as a complement to a new build-out in a facility.

Humanscale-Sit:Stand-DeskRise was designed as a sit/stand solution that can be clamped like a monitor arm to any fixed-height work surface, allowing the user to move effortlessly between seated and standing postures throughout their workday. Its central column holds a monitor and a platform for a keyboard, and can be adjusted to the desired height of the vast majority of users by raising the platform.

An extremely stable product, Rise features an aesthetic that can be readily incorporated into any environment. It is equipped with an integrated cable harness to allow users to plug in easily to access technology tools. Available in a number of configurations, including those with dual monitor requirements, Rise can accommodate nearly any application or specification.
