Bacharach Gas Leak Monitoring

The MGS-400 Series detects refrigerant leaks and quickly initiates alarm systems to help protect personnel and achieve compliance with safety standards.

MGS-400 Series Refrigerant Gas Detectors from Bacharach are for commercial and industrial refrigerant and gas leak monitoring applications. The ability to detect refrigerant leaks and quickly initiate alarm systems helps to protect personnel and achieve compliance with safety standards like ASHRAE 15, CSA-B52, and EN 378 inside machinery rooms, chiller plants, cold storage facilities, and walk-in freezers. High and low alarm levels ensure the appropriate response.gas leak monitoring

The MGS-400 App allows users to interface with the device so they can intuitively use, commission, and maintain their gas detection system without the need for specialty training or tools. Pre-calibrated plug-and-play sensor modules simplify maintenance, are quick to exchange, and do not require the use of calibration gas. Temperature-compensated measurements mitigate false alarms and optimize accuracy in refrigeration applications. Onboard audible and visual alarms enable ASHRAE 15 and EN 378 compliance with no additional hardware. Calibration certificates can be generated from the mobile app and sent by e-mail or shared to cloud storage platforms.gas leak monitoring

The MGS-400 Series allows installers to daisy-chain power and Modbus communication cables across the gas leak monitoring system, and can be integrated into a BMS/BAS, or with Bacharach’s optional MGS-408 Gas Detection Controller. The MGS-408 supports up to eight sensor channels and enables a centralized alarm and power system; it will also connect with Bacharach’s MGS-250 Refrigerant Monitor and the dual-sensor MGS-550, allowing for flexibility of individual site requirements.

The more than 30 gases detected by MGS-400 include CO2, CH4, Butane Ethylene, Methane, Propane, R-134a, and R-410A. The product offers temperature compensated measurement of natural refrigerants and halogens down to -40F°.
